Alderley Edge Festival – 2019

For more than a hundred years Alderley Edge Festival has been a delightful event for people in Cheshire. As Maria Rushton, one of the organises of the Festival-2019 said, “There’s an element of competition but this is much more about bringing people together to share their enjoyment of performing.” A lot of local schools embraced an opportunity to join the ‘wonderful culture of music, speech and drama’ and some of the children won top awards during the festival.

King’s School Pupils Collect Christmas Presents for Disadvantage Children

King’s School Macclesfield pupils responded immediately to an appeal from the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust for extra Christmas presents. In less than a week, Senior pupils in King’s Girls’ Division collected 272 selection boxes to be handed out at CAFT’s rip-roaring Christmas parties for disadvantaged children

Creativity is King During Junior Art Week

Pupils in King’s School, Macclesfield, Infant & Junior Division were immersed in a week-long celebration of some of our best loved artists, including L.S. Lowry, as well as a wonderful array of expressive techniques during a week devoted to creativity.
King’s ‘Art Week’ saw three visiting artists give special workshops showing the children the process of making original three dimensional artworks from start to finish.
