Greenbank Dads were Mad Fer It on Father’s Day!
Sizzling sausages, shining sun and family fun were enjoyed last week at Greenbank Preparatory School.
Every year, the award-winning independent school in Cheadle Hulme hosts a special Father’s Day breakfast for dads and children to share together.
Greenbank Preparatory School’s Headteacher, Malcolm Johnson said, “We can plan fancy presents, days out and holidays, but simply being there with each other is very special. It was wonderful to witness this.”
This year’s theme was ‘Madchester’ and the dads were ‘Mad Dad fer it,’ with sound tunes, a mint quiz, and a butty & brew.
Myles Heinekey, from Altrincham, said, “Wonderful morning at Greenbank; great to catch up with the other fathers and test our knowledge of Manchester slang – proper buzzin’.” His daughter Harriet, 11, summed up the feelings of the pupils, adding, “It’s nice to invite dads into school and be able to have breakfast and do a quiz with them.“
