Alderley Girls Top the Table for A Level Progress Score in Cheshire
According to the recently published Department for Education League tables Alderley Edge School for Girls has topped the table for A Level progress scores for the whole of Cheshire.
With a progress score of 0.39 for performance progress between GCSE and A Level, the ‘well above average’ score for progress places the girls’ school among the top 5% of schools nationally for A Level attainment.
After celebrating its best ever A Level results last year with well over three quarters of all results having been awarded at the highest A*- B grade and receiving the prestigious Independent Schools Association (ISA) Award for academic excellence and innovation, the School is going from strength to strength.
Headmistress Helen Jeys commented, “This is fantastic news for the School and reflects the incredible dedication of my staff as well as the hard work of the girls. We have always been known for our outstanding pastoral care and it is fantastic to see the rewards for the academic achievement of the girls too. We will continue to strive to provide a truly holistic education for all girls who are members of the AESG community. We are delighted with these results.”
