Christmas with JoJo

 

Having already visited JoJo Maman Bébé shop in Hale for a personal maternity shopping session when my now 6 month old daughter was just a bump, I knew the quality of JoJo’s baby clothes really was top-notch, so we were excited to pick up some quality Christmas outfits that she could grow into – a fun elf costume for the lead up and a nice festive party dress for the big day.

 

 

 

 

The elf onesie is extremely well made with amazing detailing, particularly the gold stitching on the belt buckle, but it really sets itself apart by lining all the velour parts with a proper soft cotton material. It’s clear that JoJo Maman Bébé has made this elf outfit to be worn as a proper piece of clothing, not just a costume for a quick family photo. My daughter was in it all day – playing, sitting, sleeping – and loved it! She was super comfy and didn’t get over-heated wearing it (very important, as the heating gets cranked up to 11 in grandma and grandpa’s house from the 1st November and stays there until Easter).

The matching hat was also really soft and comfortable. She usually cries when wearing hats, but this stayed on without a fuss and kept her warm on our morning park walk. The suit also has handy poppers around the bottom for quick nappy-changes and a good few poppers down the neck which made it easy to get on and off.

 

The robin party dress is a beautiful piece, with a lovely shape and design. Like the elf outfit, this also has a nice cotton lining to stop her getting too warm, and handy buttons down the neck. I love the robin bird design. It’s not overly Christmassy but nice and festive, so it can be worn comfortably at any other winter parties or socials too. All the material and trimmings are really good quality – the netting is really well made, not glued on or scratchy like some baby party dresses.

 
Both outfits have already withstood a regular washing and haven’t shown any signs of fading yet. This is perfect as both items will definitely see a lot of wear this festive season. Our little girl is growing right before our eyes so we need to get as much use out of every item as we still can!
