Bag Review: Tote around in style
I’m a self-confessed bag fanatic. Everyone has their weakness; for me, it’s those ultimate accessories which can complete any look, and most importantly let you carry around your laptop, three unfinished books, a pair of trainers, every toy your kid has decided they can’t live without this week, and 15 types of snack. Given my necessity to fit all the parts of my life which aren’t screwed down into said bag, it’s no surprise that I’ve tended to favour the rucksack (or at a push, those natty multi-way handbags which do a bit of everything).
The recent heat wave, however, as well as casting an unfortunate light on our general lack of preparedness for the higher temperatures, highlighted a rather serious bag issue. My trusty rucksacks were all causing my back to turn into the Niagara falls. What I really needed was an option which could also handle going from office to shop to gym and back again, while having unnecessary items continually chucked into it, ideally looking good in the process, and leaving my sweaty back free to breathe.
I was delighted, therefore, to be offered the chance to review a trendy tote bag from Casuwares. With a selection of 12 colours and multiple strap options to choose from – including two rainbow designs – it took a good half hour to make my selection, even with an endless stream of unsolicited advice coming from my kids. I went for a pastel pink with yellow handles; bright enough to liven up a dull outfit, and a more adventurous choice than the 50 shades of brown already in my wardrobe.
As soon as my bag arrived, I tipped the entire contents of my rucksack into it, and took it out for a spin. I was very pleased to discover that it checked off all the points on my list: I could pretty much stuff anything I fancied inside (although I would recommend making use of purse organisers to keep things neat and accessible given the lack of zippered compartments in this type of bag), it was extremely light and portable, and my tops finished the day covered in a refreshingly moderate amount of liquid.
All in all, I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely little bag. The tote is fast becoming a wardrobe staple, and no wonder, with its versatility and capacity on clear display in the hot summer months. A Casuwares model gives you a splendid selection of styles in eye-catching shades, comfy natural cotton handles, and flexible buying and shipping options. Despite my previous bag-related preferences, consider me converted.

Looks very useful – especially to take on holiday!
I love the colours. I hated wearing a lot of the bags I own during the summer as they made me sweat more, itchy and generally uncomfortable. Might invest in a good quality tote bag next summer
It looks like there is a lot of room inside.
Wow, love this pink tote!
Your comment about rucksacks leaving your back all sweaty made me laugh because I’m a bit of a backpack freak too and have exactly the same problem
