Football Camp at Wilmslow Prep
England and Manchester United football legend, Wes Brown, has been running a well-attended summer football camp at Wilmslow Prep School’s sports facilities over the summer holidays.
With more than 30 children attending each session, budding junior football players have been benefitting from top class coaching alongside a true Old Trafford great! Last week, Jesse Lingard, first team player for Manchester United, visited the school, where he held a Q&A session and took photos with attendees of the summer camp.
Kyle, 7, was excited to meet Lingard and have a chat with him at the summer camp.
Kyle’s mum, said, “Kyle has loved every aspect of the Wes Brown Football Camp at WPS from learning new ball control skills and drills to playing team games and matches. Meeting Jesse Lingard was a fabulous experience and has boosted his love of football just a little bit more.”
Helen Rigby, Headteacher at Wilmslow Prep, is delighted to see the sports facilities enjoyed throughout the holiday. She said,
“The astro turf facility at Wilmslow Prep School’s sports hall is ideal as it provides a large, outdoor multi-use sports pitch for both our pupils and for attendees of external sports clubs, camps and classes“.
“As always, it is preferable to play football and other sports outdoors, but with the rainy weather we’ve had this summer, Wes and his coaching team benefited from useing both the indoor sports hall and the astro pitch.”
