Z-arts: A magical and cosy Christmas

It’s time to wrap up warm, grab your hats, gloves and scarves and head to Z-arts for a very special Christmas! Filskit Theatre, along with co-commissioners Z-arts and Wonder Arts proudly present, Christmas Lights, a family-friendly show, created especially for children aged 1-4 and their families.

Running from the 13th to 30th of December 2024, this brand-new festive performance shows us how the power of friendship can light up the dark.

Z-arts for many families around the festive period provides a warm, cosy start to Christmas traditions and this year will be no different! With beautiful lights, original music, playful performance and integrated BSL, Christmas Lights will be sure to dazzle audiences from the moment they enter the theatre.

Think Scandinavian snow covered cabins, twinkling lights with playful storytelling, warm and uplifting to keep sprits shining bright!

Families will be invited to sit in the snow-covered garden, as they join friends, Alvie and Kit who embark on a mission to light up their house in time for Christmas. But what happens when your Christmas Lights seem to have a mind of their own?

Award-winning Filskit Theatre has been staging shows for the youngest of audiences, specialising in early years, touring their work around the world, using puppetry, music and immersive sensory elements to tell beautiful stories to families.

Christmas Lights is a highly visual show with very little dialogue; the actors will perform many words using British Sign Language (BSL). Audiences will be invited to stay and play with the performers in the snow-covered garden after the show.

With tickets flurrying fast, families must be sure to grab their tickets for this truly magical show, which would enlighten any first-time theatre goer, as young as 12 months. Join Z-arts and discover the magic of children’s theatre this Christmas.
