Tatton’s Parkland Remains Open for Local Outdoor Exercise under New National Lockdown
Following the latest Government national lockdown announcement, Tatton Park’s public outdoor places, including the Parkland and Playground, can safely remain open for local outdoor exercise under new government regulations.
Keep it local
Government regulations allow exercise outdoors in a public outdoor space, but this should be limited to once per day and you should not travel outside the local area where you live.
Carole Hyde, Tatton Park’s Business Development Manager explains:
“We have over 1,000 acres of picturesque parkland to enjoy so we are delighted we can continue to welcome local visitors for their daily dose of nature and exercise. Please help to keep everyone safe and only visit us if you are from the local area and follow the government guidance on meeting others outdoors safely.”
What’s open from the 6th January
During the latest national lockdown, the Parkland*, Playground, Stableyard toilets, Stables take-away and Housekeeper’s store will remain open. However, the Gardens, Farm, Mansion, Gardener’s Cottage Tea Room and Gift Shop will be closed until further notice.
Winter walks with wildlife
Tatton Park has an abundance of wildlife and walking trails including the Rangers’ Nature Trail and Scavenger Hunt. Local families can take a break from home learning with a new Winter Scavenger Hunt – perfect for little explorers. (available to pick up on site or downloadable online) If you can’t travel to Tatton Park now you can download or print Scavenger Hunt instructions from the website to enjoy a hunt in your own garden or at your local park.
*Cyclists and pedestrians are free to enter the parkland and all vehicles pay £7 vehicle park entry
