Masterchef competition at Stockport Grammar
Stockport Grammar School pupil Oliver Ensor-Adams will see his culinary creation on the menu at prestigious Alderley Edge restaurant The Grill on the Edge.
The Second Year student won the Buxton Road school’s annual Junior Masterchef competition which was judged by The Grill on the Edge’s Head Chef and Operations Manager.
Oliver impressed the panel with his main course of steak with mustard sauce and sweet potato and orange mash followed by banana and honey galettes with sugar decorations.
He was awarded a £100 voucher for the restaurant and was delighted when he found out that his dish will feature on the menu at the London Road restaurant.
The runner up prize went to Matthew Byle who made roasted salmon steak with sweet chilli jam served with stir fried vegetables followed by lemon curd meringue roulade with pistachio
Lucy Snell won the Middle School trophy thanks to her starter of halloumi cheese and humus dip followed by maple and balsamic glazed lamb chops with mint, roasted almonds, roast vine tomatoes and roast potatoes.
