Haunted Halloween 2018

That scary, spooky, ghouly, ghostly, creepy crawly thing is fast approaching again! Halloween is just round the corner. Whether you want to spend it weaving cobwebs at Dunham Massey or carving pumpkins at Stockley Farm, whether you are interested in eerie tours of a medieval building in Tatton Park or prefer to ride a ghost train on the East Lancashire railway, you are on the right track. You can find a lot of information here to keep you going not only through Halloween but also for the half-term. Manchester and Cheshire are full of things to do this Autumn.

 

Halloween with Screamania | Frankenstein

Screamania: Spooky Vale
A family friendly Halloween event that features live actors, a scare maze, amazing special effects, spooky moments, actor lead animation and spooky tales, outdoor treasure hunt, holograms, slime making, extra scares for adults and older kids, go karting, body zorbing, disc golf and an outdoor trick or treat walk through the Country Park.

Spooktacular Fun On The Farm
Stockley Farm has had spooky makeover! The (not so wicked) Witch will be taking residence in her spooky house, ready to play trick or treat with those brave enough to venture in, you can carve your own pumpkins to take home, take part in fancy dress competitions, and enjoy a few treats (or tricks!) along the way! The focus is on having fun rather than being scared.

Pick Your Own Pumpkin at Tatton Park
You’ll choose your own pumpkin, fresh from the field, so prepare to get your hands dirty! Join us in our new recipe room for a refreshing pumpkin juice and a yummy pumpkin muffin and learn how to create a warming pumpkin soup – we’ll provide you with the recipes too so you can make these delicious dishes back at home. You’re welcome to take your pumpkin home with you ready to carve for Halloween.

Halloween in the City
Manchester celebrates in style with spooky street decorations, thousands of pumpkin lanterns glowing in the trees and iconic city buildings turn a ghoulish green including the Town Hall, Manchester Central, National Football Museum, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. You could follow a terrifying Trick or Treat Trail, for a meet and greet with (friendly) witches, vampires and mummies, join The Face of Halloween makeup contest, and a very special collaboration with MMU on a magical live action role-play game for families.
