The much loved Plaza which only 20 short years ago was a derelict building facing potential demolition was saved by her community and from the venues reopening in 2000 to this years production, Richard Chandler and David Vickers from Extravaganza Productions have worked alongside the Plaza to bring affordable festive cheer to thousands of people every year who know that a Plaza pantomime will enhance their Christmas celebrations with a family production that is suitable for all
TED ROBBINS (Den Perry in ‘Phoenix Nights’ and CBBC ‘Diddy TV’) who will be playing the hilarious ‘Dame Trott’ and has starred over the years in many of The Plaza Pantomimes always receives a resounding cheer of delight that raises the roof when he appears on The Plaza stage whilst another equally excited cheer will most certainly be raised through Stockport’s Art Deco venue when CHERYL FERGISON (Heather in ‘Eastenders’) who also has appeared in many productions at The Plaza plays ‘Fairy Cauliflower’ in this magnificent festive treat.
The ever popular BRADLEY THOMPSON who will play ‘Simple Simon’ continues the wonderful feeling of a theatrical family returning to perform together over the festive season when he returns to the Plaza stage whilst ROBERT LAUGHLIN who will play the really evil ‘Fleshcreep’ who made his first appearance at The Plaza last year concludes the host of returning stars who will be helping Jack with his adventures this Christmas.
New comers to The Plaza pantomime that we are delighted to announce are TYLER SARGENT who will be playing the swashbuckling title character of ‘Jack Trott’, LISA JANE KELSEY who will play the beautiful ‘Princess Rosalinde’ and TRISTAN CARTER who will play the loveable ‘King Ethelred’ and together they conclude the glittering array of talent that will fill The Plaza with Panto Magic this Christmas.
