New Era at AESG
The beginning of the new school year at Alderley Edge School for Girls is, as always, full of excitement for the pupils, either starting their new school or returning for a new beginning. This year sees an additional ‘new girl’, as Helen Jeys joins to take up the reins as Headmistress from September.
Previously Deputy Head (Pastoral) at Manchester High School for Girls, Helen brings experience, excitement and enthusiasm to her new post and is relishing the opportunity to take AESG into a new era. She began her career at The Manchester Grammar School after graduating from Durham and Cambridge Universities and is passionate about Aristotelian philosophy and how it can underpin holistic approaches to education. A strong advocate of the vital importance of effective school support, Helen has written extensively on issues surrounding mental health, character education and pro-active approaches to pastoral care.
Join us at one of our forthcoming Open Events to meet Mrs Jeys and see what opportunities await your daughter at Alderley Edge School for Girls.
