Who doesn’t love shopping without the real-life price tag? There’s no need to worry when your child tells you that your weekly shop costs £10,000 with Casdon’s toy supermarket collection.
Playing shops with little ones is not only great fun but it also helps to develop their communication and math skills. And perhaps now more than ever, this type of role-play is so important in helping to develop children’s social skills and understanding of the real world.
The Casdon shopping collection includes the Supermarket Till and the best-selling Pick & Mix Sweet Shop.
Key features of the colourful Supermarket Till include a ‘touch-sensitive’ screen, a working calculator to add up the bill and a microphone for making those all-important customer announcements!
There is a scanner to help the young shop assistant ‘input’ the shop, and when it comes to paying – the chip & pin machine will take card payments and an opening cash drawer can hold bank notes and coins – also included in the set. A selection of well-known brands is included as part of the play food including Baxters Soup, Hovis bread, Birdseye. This toy will provide endless hours of fun and is a great way to boost early maths skills.
The ‘Pick & Mix Sweet shop’ provides a dream shopping experience for little ones. Setting-up shop will be just as much fun as selling (and tasting!) the sweets. There is a display counter to creatively place their treats, two sweet jars to fill, working scales to weigh the goodies and a scoop to pick them up with.
For the shopkeeper, there is an opening cash drawer to hold all the coins and bank notes that come with the set.
A large selection of sweets and lollipops are also included in the set ready for the shop to open.
The Pick & Mix Sweet Shop is great for role play and for learning early counting and weighing skills – just like a real shopkeeper!
