Altrincham Preparatory Wins the Inaugural APS Chess Tournament!
First-ever APS Inter-school Chess Tournament, was hosted at Marlborough Road last week, and what an incredible event it was! Eight schools competed, showcasing impressive skill, strategy, and sportsmanship:

- ♟ Cheadle Hulme Junior School
- ♟ Greenbank Preparatory School
- ♟ Lady Barn House School
- ♟ Well Green Primary School
- ♟ Bury Grammar
With teams of six players, the standard of play was exceptionally high, and after three intense rounds, the scores were incredibly close! Every team performed brilliantly, demonstrating professionalism, respect, and a true passion for the game.
