Vegan Family-Friendly Festival is Coming to Manchester this April
The 2025 Northern Vegan Festival from Vegan Events UK takes place on Saturday 19th April 2025. In its 11th year, you can expect over 100 epic vegan stalls, global cuisine, decadent cakes and desserts, expert talks and live demos, ethical fashion, cruelty-free beauty and nutrition secrets. This family-friendly festival will provide the ultimate inspiration for vegans, vegetarians, flexitarians, those thinking about going vegan or wanting to include more vegan products in their diet – everyone is welcome. And with free entry for under-16s, it’s an excellent family day out from only £5.
The Northern Vegan Festival, Manchester takes place at Sugden Sports Centre in the city centre where you’ll discover over 100 stalls including a huge selection of cooked foods, pies, cakes, chocolates, sandwiches and salads, beauty and skincare products, candles, cheeses, jewellery, crafts, healthy treats, sweet treats, clothing, drinks, juices, smoothies, charity merchandise, free samples and more!
Festival organiser and founder of Vegan Events UK, Victoria Bryceson says, “I’m really looking forward to our eleventh Northern Vegan Festival in Manchester. It’s our biggest and most popular event of the year, and was the first. We now have nearly 20 around the UK from Glasgow to Bournemouth. I’m expecting a great turn out.”
Featured stalls include North West based Miracle’s Mission, a non-profit animal welfare organisation that works with sick, injured and disabled animals worldwide. Its mission is to provide a place of safety for animals in danger, to educate on the needs of neutering both pets and strays and to neuter stray dogs and cats to prevent the birth of more animals onto the streets. It also rehabilitates and re-homes dogs in need, often with disabilities, from its UK rescue base.
Local Manchester stallholders include caterers Gillie Foods, Seitan’s Kebab, Wholesome Junkies, bakers Teatime Collective, The Intolerant Baker and The Teapot Bakery. And you can also find out more about the work of Manchester’s Animal Save.
Gillie Foods offer a variety of vegan appetisers, dim sum and rice and noodle dishes, such as Taiwanese ‘Hamburger’, vegan drumsticks, vegetable buns, vegan ‘duck’, vegan ‘fish’ curry and vegan mock meat sweet & sour. Seitan’s Kebab is an independent street food vendor offering tasty, healthier plant-based alternatives to our favourite kebabs, with a diverse menu, using fresh ingredients and all 100% vegan – from kebab to sauce. Wholesome Junkies create 100% vegan junk food with a wholesome twist – including burgers, dogs, wings and indulgent desserts.
Teatime Collective is a Manchester vegan bakery making amazing cakes, bakes and vegan treats. The Intolerant Baker caters for vegan, gluten free, nut free, reduced sugar and keto lifestyles. It believes everyone deserves a treat, no matter what their preferences. The Teapot Bakery infuses an Asian twist into our beloved desserts and pastries, including a range of vegan croissants.
And there are several stall holders from around the North West. Adela’s Vegan Deli, based in Rochdale, creates simple, creamy, yummy, Mediterranean-inspired vegan food. Salford’s DevilDog sauces are handmade in small batches. Their aim is to make the most flavoursome chilli sauce around by using the best ingredients and combining a wide array of chillies to create a range of sauces that suit all tastes and tolerances.
Other North West stallholders include Tilly’s Little Treasures, which makes 100% handmade, ethical jewellery and gifts, all with sea glass sourced from the North West coast. And Roots Vegan Skincare, which uses natural and organic botanicals with vitamins and nutrients to restore the skin without unnecessary synthetic ingredients, with carefully chosen, plant-based ingredients for every formula.
